THE PROJECT SPECS:
We will be using the SJCAM SJ4000 HD Sports cam to shoot video, and we will be using a one month free trial of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects to create our videos. What to know about the software:
Adobe Premiere Pro: Used for editing and slicing video and audio footage
Adobe After Effects: Used for visual special effects work only. It is not geared towards straight editing, and doesn't have any video capture facilities.
Below
Left video edited using Premiere Pro, Right: Video created using After Effects
Below: videos which combines BOTH the use of Premiere Pro and After Effects

Practice Video Assignment: to be completed on the lab day you are not shooting video. Also do the vocab assignment!
Before using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit your video, it will be helpful to understand the basics of how video editing works. Watch the two tutorials linked above under Video Editing, "Video Editing Basics" and "Intermediate Editing" then create a video in "Windows Movie Maker" that does the following:
- has 3 different transitions (you may need to "cut" your video into clips in order to do this!!) _______________ 15 pts
- is 1.5 minutes long (you may need to lengthen/slow mo/repeat clips to make it this long!) ________________ 15 pts
- has a new soundtrack ________________ 15 pts
- is exported as a .MP4 file and uploaded to flickr for sharing ________________ 10 pts
